WCSX WORKFORCE CASH – Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING.
Contest Dates: Monday, November 28, 2011 through Friday, December 2, 2011, weekdays only.
How to Play: Every hour, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:59 p.m. during the course of the contest, WCSX will select a name at random from the WCSX Workforce Database and announce it on-air on 94.7 WCSX. Half of the selected names each day will be drawn from the Original WCSX workforce database dating back to 1998, and half will be drawn from the WCSX 2011 database (anyone who signed up or renewed their Workforce membership in 2011). WCSX reserves the right to determine the time within each hour that the name will be announced. Only the person whose name is announced may call to win. Each contestant whose name is announced on WCSX will have nine (9) minutes and forty-seven (47) seconds from the time of the first announcement of their name to call WCSX at 248-336-9675 and be placed "on the payroll" to “earn” $100 per hour until there is another winner. An individual who is still "on the payroll” at 5:00pm will go back on the payroll the next morning at 8:00am. Winners will be paid only for work hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We will “Double Your Salary” on Mondays, when eligible contestants will “earn” $200 per hour. Contestants can also double their time to call back. At 7:00 am each weekday Ken Calvert will announce a keyword. If a listener’s name is called and s/he can provide the correct keyword for that day when s/he calls the station, s/he will have nineteen (19) minutes and thirty four seconds (34) from the time of the first announcement of his/her name to call WCSX at 248-336-9675 and be placed "on the payroll."
Odds of a Workforce member’s name being announced during the contest period depend on the number of eligible Workforce members in the respective database.
A contestant/winner will not become an actual employee of WCSX. Become a WCSX Workforce member by registering online at www.wcsx.com. NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION NECESSARY.
Online listeners to the Station web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to the station’s over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in this contest.
Winner qualification is subject to FULL phone call completion, and the verification of the caller’s name, address, home phone number, work/cell phone number and social security number, all of which must be provided prior to completion of the call in order for the contestant to be placed “on the payroll”. Contest calls will not be accepted at any other number.
Prize Details: The prize is $100 for every hour a WCSX Workforce member is “on the payroll” ($200 per hour on Mondays). Up to eight (8) WCSX Workforce member names will be announced each weekday during the contest period. Members must call back within the designated time period to go on the payroll. Members will be taken off the payroll once a new name is announced and the person calls back within the designated timeframe. Winners must claim their prizes by completing all required paperwork in person at the WCSX offices at One Radio Plaza, Ferndale, MI 48220 within 30 days after winning. Checks can be picked up at the same address or mailed if authorized in writing by the winner. Allow 4-6 weeks for check processing. No prize is transferable, and no substitution of prizes or redemption of prizes is permitted, except in the sole discretion of WCSX. WCSX reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if any of the prizes or any portion of the prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
Eligibility. No purchase necessary. Contestants must be registered WCSX WORKFORCE MEMBERS, 18 years of age or older, and a legal resident of Michigan living or working in the Detroit metro survey area (as defined by Arbitron). Workforce information must be up-to-date. Employees of WCSX, Greater Boston Radio, Inc., their respective affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Detroit metro survey area (as defined by Arbitron), and members of each of their respective immediate families are ineligible to participate to win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related. A household is eligible to win only one WCSX contest every 30 days. A winner will be disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a WCSX contest within the previous 30 days. Workforce members may be on the payroll a maximum of one time during the contest period.
One WCSX Workforce application per person; multiple submissions will result in disqualification from the contest. Participants must use consumer telephone equipment, and may not use auto dialers.
WCSX Workforce applications will be void and discarded if illegible or not completed in full, if forged, mutilated or tampered with or if they contain printing, mechanical or other errors. The submission of false or inaccurate information on the WCSX Workforce Membership Application is grounds for prize forfeiture. WCSX assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, misdirected or late WCSX Workforce applications. All WCSX Workforce applications become property of WCSX and will not be returned.
WCSX Workforce members must advise WCSX of any change in their name, home and work address, home and work phone number or email address. Failure to update file information will result in the termination of their Workforce membership. Information updates should be emailed to feedback@wcsx.com or mailed to Workforce Update c/o WCSX One Radio Plaza, Detroit, MI 48220.
