PAUL FREAKIN' RODGERS

Stop. Listen. Paul Rodgers live. This was recorded at the release party in Memphis for Paul's solo project "The Royal Sessions" doing "I Can't Stand The Rain". And I've got goosebumps.

The song was originally recorded by Ann Peeples in 1973, and John Lennon called it "the best song ever" in a Rolling Stone interview.

This was recorded at the Stax Museum of American Folk in Memphis and you can feel the passion. I was thinking about Bob Seger's famous line "We're all Chuck's children" (Chuck Berry). Artists like Paul Rodgers embrace the soul roots of rock, and projects like this not only keep it alive, but kindle the fire inside for anyone who loves great music.

Paul Rodgers is a treasure. Can't say enough about this project - it's available everywhere (Paul's website). So take 4 minutes from your day and crank this up.
