It's definitely one of the more interesting seasons in recent NASCAR history - Dale Jr. in the points lead, Dodge dropping out, major names like Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards struggling to make the chase. Has the sport lost it's "mojo"? I don't think so - but I do think it needs more people like Roger Curtis (President of M.I.S.) shaping policy and marketing for the sport. The Pure Michigan 400 is become one of the marquee events in NASCAR (tickets/camping still available at http://mispeedway.com) - I spent some time talking with Roger about the chase, the new tires, Dodge, Junior and much more. Very insightful conversation (even though I tried to derail him a couple of times). Side note - he doesn't think Dodge is done with NASCAR, neither do I (although we did disagree on the timeline).
And how could you get rid of an amazing car like this? C'mon Dodge!
