LOVE THEM DO: THE BEATLES ARE LOOKING FOR FAN FOOTAGE

11/16/2012

The makers of a new Beatles documentary are soliciting video footage from fans for The Beatles Live Project! A statement on the endeavor's web site, www.TheBeatlesLiveProject.com explains that the film will span the Beatles' entire performing history, adding that: "The ultimate goal: to combine footage, images, music interviews, and stories in a definitive, emotional and visceral feature film about 'Beatlemania.' Production company OVOW Productions Inc. has assembled a global team of archivists, collectors, information specialists, artists, social media strategists, amateur media groups, Beatles fan clubs, writers, academics, and film restoration experts to support the activities in the field. The research will be active through December of 2012...Were you there? Were your parents there? Your grandparents? Now, fans from all over the world can become a true part of Beatles history by contributing their original footage, photos, or audio recordings of the Beatles in concert." Fans are being asked to upload footage, photos and stories at the web site. The project has been approved by the Beatles' Apple Corps, but no compensation is being offered for the fans' work.
