ROLLING STONES A QUICK SELL-OUT IN LONDON

10/22/2012

The Rolling Stones apparently don't have to worry about demand for concert tickets these days. The group's two 50th anniversary shows November 25 and 29 at London's O2 Arena sold out in just seven minutes and briefly crashed the Ticketmaster server. The same, of course, will likely happen when tickets for the Stones' December 13 and 15 dates at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, go on sale October 25 -- though VIP packages are already on sale and an American Express pre-sale starts Monday (October 22). The December 15 show will be telecast live via WWE pay-per-view. Meanwhile, the Stones will release their "GRRR!" compilation, with two new songs, on November 13, while the "Crossfire Hurricane" documentary that recently debuted in the U.K. will premiere on that same night at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York prior to its HBO airing on November 15.
