Kiss' Gene Simmons claims he was part of a posse to persuade Led Zeppelin to play more shows after its 2007 reunion date at London's O2 Arena. Simmons has told The Sun in the U.K. that "in 2009 I was given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy (Page) and Robert (Plant) and trying to convince them to get back together. Of course, it didn't work. Robert just doesn't want to do it." Simmons' budget was reportedly about $320 million. Led Zeppelin is releasing CD and DVD versions of the 2007 show as "Celebration Day" on November 19, while Kiss is currently promoting its own new album, "Monster."
