Rolling Stones fans in the U.K. and Ireland will get a jump on the group's "Crossfire Hurricane" documentary. Though North American audiences will have to wait for the film's ?? premiere on HBO, it's October 18 opening at the London Film Festival will be simulcast to 250 theaters in the two countries, along with red carpet interviews with the band members and director Brett Morgan. North American fans are still waiting for a domestic publication date for the "Rolling Stones 50" coffee table book, while the "GRRR!" compilation with two new songs comes out November 6. Rumors persist that the Stones will play four special 50th anniversary shows -- two in Brooklyn and two in London -- but there's been no official announcement yet.
