The late Levon Helm of The Band will be celebrated with an all-star Love For Levon concert on October 3 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Joe Walsh, Gregg Allman, Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers Band and Gov't Mule will perform, along with John Mayer, Bruce Hornsby, Mavis Staples, Lucinda Williams, John Hiatt, Marc Cohn, My Morning Jacket, Patty Griffin, Ray LaMontagne, country stars Dierks Bentley and Eric Church, and the Levon Helm Band. Tickets go on sale August 29, with proceeds going to keep Helm's barn and studio in Woodstock, New York, operating and hosting the Midnight Ramble Sessions concert series.
