Survivor and former U.S. presidential candidate Newt Gingrich are settling a lawsuit over the latter's campaign use of "Eye of the Tiger" out of court. The group's Frankie Sullivan, who co-wrote Survivor's 1982 hit, filed suit for copyright infringement during January in Illinois (Survivor hails from Chicago), claiming that Gingrich was using the song without permission during his campaign appearances. The two parties have apparently worked out a settlement, though the terms have not been disclosed. Gingrich dropped out of the presidential race in May.
