If there’s any sure sign that Ted Nugent is considering a political run, it would be that the rocker cut his iconic long locks.
In a new photo posted on Instagram by his wife Shemane, captioned “Doesn’t Ted’s new haircut look great?!,” the Michigan native looks downright clean-cut.
While Nugent says that the haircut is to make it easier for him to hunt, there could be another reason for the new ‘do, if the performer is following through on his plans to run for president in 2016.
In a recent interview with The Washington Post, he confirmed that he was considering a presidential bid and even has a slogan in mind:
“Hi, I’m Ted Nugent. I have nine children from seven women, and I’m running for president,” he said, adding, “Yeah, I’m thinking about it.”
Nugent, 64, is a well-known gun rights activist and conservative who ran for the governorship in Michigan twice.
His next live album, Ultralive Ballisticrock, is set for release on October 22. He recorded the 25-track record at Penn’s Peak during his I Still Believe Tour back in 2011.
Along with Ultralive, Nugent will also release a DVD and Blu-ray of bonus footage that includes “Spirit of the Wild” and a making-of video.
