Neal Schon clearly believes that when you love a woman, “there’s a band of gold that shines waiting somewhere.”
The Journey guitarist, 59, has finally set a wedding date with his longtime girlfriend Michaele Salahi, The Washington Post reports.
Schon and the former Real Housewives star are set to tie the knot on December 14 at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts pavilion.
In fact, the pair are so serious about their impending nuptials that they send save-the-dates out to the press.
“San Francisco has been my home, the city I love, and I am marrying Michaele, the woman of my dreams and the love of my lifetime,” Schon wrote.
This marks marriage no. 5 for the famous rocker, while Salahi was previously married to Tareq Salahi until 2011.
Schon proposed to his bride-to-be on stage at a Journey concert in Washington, D.C., 16 years after they first met at one of the band’s shows, even before she had married Tareq.
“I had this whole thing I was going to do,” he told the Post after the engagement. But just before proposing, after which he planned to perform “Faithfully,” “I started crying,” he said.
We wish the happy couple all the best!
