Tico Torres has had a rough couple of weeks health-wise, and while it is currently unclear when the drummer will return to the stage with Bon Jovi, one thing is for certain: he appreciates his fans’ support.
The rocker took to the band’s official website on Wednesday (October 2) to post a thank-you note to those who have stood beside him while he recovers from his recent emergency gall bladder surgery:
“Hello All, I would like to say a quick Thank You to all of you who have kept me in your thoughts thus far. I am very disappointed to not be able to perform today but our friend Rich Scannella will stand in for me. You are in good hands. I will be there is spirit and back on stage very soon,” Torres writes.
The website also notes that Torres, who had undergone an emergency appendectomy the week before his gall bladder surgery, is recovering on schedule, and will be back “in the very near future.”
We continue to wish Tico a speedy recovery!
Meanwhile, Bon Jovi forges on with their “Because We Can” tour with New Jersey native Rich Scannella behind the drum kit and guitarist Philip ‘Phil X’ Xenidis filling in for estranged member Richie Sambora. The band is set to play a series of North American concerts this month, beginning on Saturday (October 5) in Tacoma, WA.
