New Doors DVD/Blu-ray Coming in December

The
Doors have announced that they will release a new DVD/Blu-ray right in time to make your Christmas rock!

Dubbed R-Evolution, the film is a compilation of rare footage that helps to outline the story of how the Doors broke down barriers in the ‘60s in order to fulfill their creative dreams, while simultaneously becoming one of the most controversial and legendary Rock groups of all-time.

Rolling Stone reports that R-Evolution features content that not even the most die-hard Doors fans have witnessed, such as previously unreleased performances of hits like “Light My Fire,” “Break on Through (To the Other Side),” “L.A. Woman” and “People Are Strange,” a 1966 training film from Ford Motor Company that utilized the Doors’ music, outtakes from the band’s Malibu U cameo in 1967, and more.

Additionally, the project, due out December 3, will feature insight from Robby Krieger, John Densmore and the late Ray Manzarek, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
