Eddie Van Halen is definitely not ‘Jumping’ for joy at the current state of his Los Angeles home.
TMZ reports that the Van Halen guitarist has filed suit against Troy Builders Group; a contracting company that the rocker hired in 2008 to do some remodeling and construction work on his house.
Five years later, Van Halen is out more than a million dollars, due to several alleged blunders on the part of the contractors, some of which included “poor drainage, leaky roof and chimney, and poorly installed gutters and flashing” according to TMZ.
The botched work also apparently caused water damage in Van Halen’s home, resulting in molding on the wood surfaces and even in the rocker’s elevator shaft.
The guitarist is reportedly asking for the million dollars he spent getting the damages repaired, plus interest.
Eddie and the guys of Van Halen released the album A Different Kind of Truth last year, and recently wrapped up a tour in support of the LP in July.
