Happy Birthday to "The Demon"
Gene Simmons Turns 64
By: Andrew Holub

A Happy Birthday goes out to KISS co-founder Gene Simmons who turns 64 today!

That’s right “The Demon” is celebrating another rockin' year, and he’s definitely not slowing down anytime soon.

Simmons and KISS spent the majority of the past year on tour in support of their 20th studio album Monster, which was released last fall, and are set to hit Japan for four shows in October.

When he’s not rocking on stage, Gene has often appeared on television, competing on The Apprentice back in 2008 and starring on A&E’s show Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which ran from 2006-2012.

Ever the prolific artist, Simmons’ career has also spanned print, film, and the creation of tons of merchandising, like KISS comic books, action figures, caskets and toilet paper. Most recently, Simmons and bandmate Paul Stanley have launched their own AFL football team, appropriately called the LA KISS.

But it will always be his music, makeup, fire breathing and blood-spitting that make Simmons who he is; a Rock and Roll icon.

Everything else is just icing on the cake.

Speaking of cake, have yourself a big slice today, Gene!

Check out the videos below of The Demon at his very finest and be sure to leave your  birthday wishes for the KISS rocker in the comments section!
