The backbeat of Queen, drummer Roger Taylor, has just wrapped production on his first new solo album in 15 years!
The rocker reported the good news via his official Facebook page yesterday (July 30), writing, “I am thrilled to have finally finished my album, which is called 'fun on earth'...” – a play on the title of his 1981 LP, Fun in Space.
The new album marks Taylor’s first since 1998’s Electric Fire, and his 5th solo release overall, though further details on when the record will drop are still pending.
Meanwhile, Queen was voted No. 1 by fans on a poll conducted by Play.com that ranked the Top 100 Music Artists of all time. Rounding out the top three were The Beatles and the Foo Fighters, with Bon Jovi coming in at No. 6, Iron Maiden at No. 7, David Bowie at No. 8 and Led Zeppelin at No. 10.
