We all knew Joe Satriani could rock, but did you know he could write?
The guitarist is breaking out into the book world and will soon be a published author, according to Hennemusic.com.
The guitarist’s is pairing up with BenBella Books to publish Strange Beautiful: A Musical Memoir, in April 2014.
Co-written by award-winning music biographer Jake Brown, the memoir takes fans on Satriani’s musical journey, and features a forward written by Queen lead guitarist Brain May, and interviews with Steve Vai, Chickenfoot bandmates Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith, and a host of legendary producers.
While the hardcover book will be available for purchase in the spring, there will be an e-book option for fans after its summer 2014 international release.
As of now, Satriani just wrapped up his European tour on July 13 but will head back to the stage in a few weeks for his USA tour, kicking off on August 29 at the Bolboa Theatre in San Diego, CA.
He will conclude his Unstoppable Momentum Tour on October 26 in Oakland, Ca at the Fox Theater, giving him plenty of time to rest before having to prepare for a book tour, we hope. So cross your fingers!
And if Satriani writes anything like he rocks, Strange Beautiful: A Musical Memoir will be destined for the best-sellers list.
