What goes well with liver, fava beans and a nice chianti?
David Bowie, according to NBC’s Bryan Fuller, the Hannibal television series creator, whose exclusive interview with E! News revealed Thursday that an offer has been made for the Ziggy Stardust rocker to appear in a recurring role in the show’s second season.
"We have reached out to David Bowie to see if he's interested and available," said Fuller. “We would love for him to play Hannibal's uncle, [Count Robert Lecter], who is a character from the literature and in the books. We don't have an answer yet."
If the 66-year-old glam rock legend accepts the offer from NBC, he will add to the 36 movie titles that can already be found on his acting résumé, including cult-hits The Man Who Fell to Earth and Labyrinth, The Last Temptation of Christ, Zoolander and The Prestige, as confirmed by IMDB.com.
Since Bowie has made it clear that he won’t be touring in support of his latest album, The Next Day, would you like to see him take on the role of Hannibal’s ‘Count Lecter’? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!
