All you Queen fans, get ready!
On September 3 Eagle Rock Entertainment will release The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert on DVD (3 disc), Blu-ray, and Digital Video, according to the official press release.
This remastered version will feature the full length concert, in addition to the opening acts, as well as Queen’s rehearsal performances with David Bowie, and others, the 10th anniversary documentary, photo galleries, and more, all with uncompressed stereo and DTS-HD surround sound.
The Freddy Mercury Tribute Concert took place on April 20, 1992 at the Wembley Stadium in London and brought together rock icons such as Metallica, Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses, Extreme, David Bowie, Roger Daltrey, Robert Plant, Elton John and many more.
Surviving Queen members Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon organized the event and took the stage to pay tribute to their former band mate, the late Freddie Mercury who died of Aids in 1991, with classic hits like “We Will Rock You,” “Radio Ga Ga,” and “Under Pressure.”
The concert will be available for preorder on August 9, days after Queen kicks off their 2013 Extravaganza on August 6 in Quebec, allowing fans to secure DVDs for $29.99 and Blu-ray for $24.98.
