After The Who completes their 2013 Quadrophenia & More Tour in Europe, frontman Roger Daltrey will still be preparing for a show.
Daltrey will be headlining a concert on August 10 at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA, according to an official press release.
The concert will benefit the Teen Cancer America charity which was cofounded by Daltrey and Pete Townshend, guitarist for The Who. The event will be presented in conjunction with the Toyota Summer Concert Series, which is a part of the 2013 Orange County Fair.
ABC News Radio reported today that the concert was originally expected to feature Doors’ members Robby Krieger and the late Doors co-founder Ray Manzarek but was cancelled last month due to Manzarek’s death from bile-duct cancer.
But before the show can start, Daltrey has to first finish the Who’s European leg. The Who kicked off their Quadrophenia and More tour on June 8 at the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland and is set to conclude on July 8 at the Wembley Arena in London.
Tickets for Daltrey’s show are now available and can be purchased at Ticketmaster or the OC Fair & Event Center Box.
