When your average celebrity is caught out at a restaurant without makeup on, you might see a photo on a tabloid’s website the next day. But when KISS ventures out into the world barefaced, it’s national news!
Well, at least in the Rock and Roll community…
On Thursday (May 9) the band of shock rockers provided the entertainment for the evening at the grand opening of a new Rock & Brews restaurant in Torrance, CA, which happens to be co-owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
KISS rocked a 20-minute set that included hits such as “Lick It Up” and “Rock and Roll All Nite,” and did so without their signature black and white stage makeup and costumes.
According to the band’s official website (via The Beach Reporter), the event also served as a benefit, as proceeds from tickets went to the Torrance Education Foundation. Earlier that same day, Simmons and Stanley met with over 100 returning military vets and wounded service members for a luncheon.
KISS is just weeks away from the start of an extensive tour that will take them through Europe and North America beginning on June 1 in Stockholm, Sweden and concluding on August 16 in Orlando, FL.
