Through the decades, people have paid homage to the Beatles in nearly every medium, from tribute bands, to movies, to the amazing, high-flying spectacular that is Cirque du Solei’s LOVE.
Now, the Fab Four are headed to Broadway, with a play inspired by the music of their later years.
According to Billboard, a musical version of “Let It Be” will travel from London’s West End to NYC’s St. James Theatre this summer. Fans will be able to enjoy 40 of the Beatles’ best songs, some of which include “Come Together,” “Hey Jude” and of course, “Let It Be.”
Live musicians and special effects will breathe life into the musical, which is being produced by Jeff Parry/Annerin Productions.
“Let It Be” will run all the way from July 24 through December 29, so there will be plenty of chances to catch the show that has the potential to be one of 2013’s best!
