After being absent from the music industry for several years, David Bowie has returned with a new album and so many music videos, he could create a short film!
The singer’s latest release is for The Next Day’s title track, and features the acting talents Gary Oldman and Marion Cotillard. Written by David Bowie and directed by Floria Sigismondi, to say the video is risqué would be a bit of an understatement.
Revolving around Bowie performing live in a club filled with some controversial characters, themes of religion and corruption are very much present during more than 3-minutes of edgy footage. The video was even briefly removed from YouTube yesterday, but returned with an "Adults-Only" warning due to content.
The single marks Bowie’s third release from his new LP, following “Where Are We Now?” and “The Stars (Are Out Tonight).”
