With his amazing voice, his time with Led Zeppelin and his reputation as one of the greatest Rock and Roll icons in history, it’s easy to see how music fans would take an interest in the Golden God himself, Robert Plant.
However, one woman has apparently taken her interest a little too far. So far, in fact, that Plant has reportedly been forced to take out a restraining order on her.
According to The Sun, Alysson Billings has been allegedly stalking Plant and believes that she is in a relationship with the singer, though the two have not technically met. For the past three years, Billings has been making romantic gestures such as leaving Plant hotel room keys and flowers, and showing up to his concerts across the world.
Now, the former Zeppelin frontman has apparently hired additional security personnel, following several threatening and disturbing messages sent by Billings, expressing jealousy of Plant’s relationship with girlfriend and Band of Joy bandmate, Patty Griffin.
TMZ reports that one of Billings’ messages stated, “Your betrayal with another woman still stabs my mind,” and she also calls Griffin “evil” among other things.
Luckily, Plant will have plenty to keep his mind off of the situation, as he kicks off a series of US tour dates with the Sensational Space Shifters on June 20 in Dallas, TX.
