Black Sabbath Premieres "Methademic" During Concert in Australia
By: AnnMarie Scaramuzzino

It seems as though Black Sabbath has decided that fans have waited long enough to hear new music from the band with Ozzy back at the helm.

Despite the fact that their forthcoming album, 13, isn’t due out until June 11, the heavy metal icons gave fans a taste of what to expect with the recent release of their lead single “God Is Dead?,” and teased yet another track during a concert in Melbourne, Australia this week.

The band, which consists of original members Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi, and Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, premiered their song  “Methademic” yesterday (April 29) at the Rod Laver Arena; one of the stops on their current world tour. The song will appear as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of 13.

Sabbath also debuted the new track “End of the Beginning” during their tour opener in Auckland, New Zealand earlier this month.

13, produced by Rick Rubin, marks the first album with Sabbath’s original lineup (sans Bill Ward) since 1978’s Never Say Die.

Black Sabbath is set to kick off a series of North American tour dates on July 25 in Houston, TX.
