Bad news from Aerosmith’s camp came this weekend.
Bassist Tom Hamilton has announced that he's dropped out of the band’s current Australian tour, citing health issues as the reason. Yahoo reports that Hamilton had been dealing with problems from a chest infection, and will return back to the U.S. to recover.
Dave Hull, who has played bass with Aerosmith in the past, will be filling in for Hamilton for the remainder of the tour, as the band only has two Australian shows left; one in Brisbane on May 1 and one in Melbourne on May 4.
The Boston rockers also have a series of concerts coming up in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan, but there’s no word on whether or not Hamilton will be well enough to return for those events.
Aerosmith’s Global Warming tour comes in support of their latest album, Music From Another Dimension, released last year.
