Steven Tyler recently laid down some vocal tracks in the studio, but you won’t be hearing them on the next Aerosmith album.
The notorious frontman and former American Idol judge recently used his pipes to voice a character for the upcoming animated movie, Epic, which is set to hit theaters on May 24. From the creators of hit films like Ice Age and Rio, the story revolves around a forest in the midst of a battle between good and evil.
The Epic IMDB page states of the movie:
“A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world -- and ours.”
Tyler plays the part of Nim Galuu, the forest’s resident wise-man, in an all-star cast that also includes the voices of Beyoncé, Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Anasari, Jason Sudeikis and more.
In an official teaser, Tyler discusses the film and promises that “It’s certainly going to be Epic!”
