What goes together better then hard rock and Japanese cartoons, right?
Everyone’s favorite feline character Hello Kitty will team up with legendary rockers KISS for a new animated children’s TV show, according to USA Today’s Pop Candy.
Kiss Hello Kitty is now in development for the TV network The Hub, who have partnered with KISS frontman Gene Simmons and guitarist Paul Stanley. The show will reportedly feature The Hub's “Kiss x Hello Kitty characters living their rock ‘n’ roll dreams and bringing pink anarchy to every situation they are in.”
Stanley told USA Today of the project, “Knowing and viewing The Hub as I do daily with my three children, it is the perfect home for us to bring the Kiss Hello Kitty juggernaut to yet another generation.”
The pairing might seem a bit strange but, believe it or not, both have collaborated before. In 2010, Hello Kitty rolled out a series of KISS branded merchandise (including toilet paper) which featured the Hello Kitty character donning the signature KISS makeup and clothes.
