Though Peter Frampton had already teased the names of the guest guitarists slated to join him on stage for his upcoming Guitar Circus tour, the UK rocker has now made three members of the lineup official!
It was announced yesterday (March 19th) via official press release that Robert Cray will kick off the tour with Frampton in May, with dates scheduled in Nashville, New York City and Austin. In August, blues guitar icon Sonny Landreth and the legendary B.B. King will serve as the first and second openers, respectively, for Frampton, playing shows in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and more.
Each of the Frampton Guitar Circus tour concerts will be recorded live and later released in digital format for purchase. For the rocker that just celebrated the 35th anniversary of Frampton Comes Alive!, the live album the made him famous, the idea seems only appropriate.
Presale tickets and VIP packages for the Frampton Guitar Circus tour are now available. Frampton will also be performing the music for the Cincinnati Ballet on April 26th and 27th.
