2/28/2013

Veteran rockers Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers won’t leave fans heartbroken this year with a newly announced 2013 tour and 2014 LP release.

The upcoming summer tour includes everything from headlining gigs at major music festivals like Bonnaroo, Hangout, and Firefly, to more intimate multi-show residencies in New York City and Los Angeles, TomPetty.com reports.

The New York residency will take place at the historic Beacon Theatre for five weeks and the Los Angeles residency will take place at the Fonda Theatre for six weeks. Tickets for both special venues go on sale March 22.

The highly anticipated new album from Petty will follow up 2010’s Mojo and is set to be released in 2014.
