70’s Southern rockers The Allman Brothers Band will headline the 2nd Annual Peach Music Festival at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA!
The festival will take place this year from August 15th to the 18th and includes multiple stages, camping, water slides, and tons of amazing music.
Acts in the lineup so far include The Black Crowes, Bob Weir & RatDog, Brunch with Bobby (Weir’s solo acoustic act to take place on Sunday), Grace Potter and the Nocturals, Jaimoe’s Jasssz, featuring Allmans drummer Jaimoe Johanson, Railroad Earth, Galactic, Rusted Root, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and more soon to be announced!
Allman Brothers celebrated “The Year of the Peach,” a tribute to their Georgia roots, for the first time in 2012, marking the group’s 43rd anniversary. “The first Peach Festival was as great of a success as we could have asked for,” the band said on the festival’s official website. “The overwhelming response from both the audience and artists to continue has exceeded our expectations.”
ABB are in the news for some of their great upcoming gigs, as well. The band is set to begin their annual residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre again this year from March 11th – 17th and will also take part in Eric Clapton’s Crossroads benefit concert at Madison Square Garden on April 12th and the 13th.
