The Journey classic “Don’t Stop Believin’” is everywhere these days, and that’s a trend that’s going to continue!
A brand new trailer for the inspiring documentary “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” (dir. Ramona S. Diaz) has just been released.
The film follows guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain’s search for a new lead singer after the band parted ways with frontman Steve Perry in 2007.
The guys came across Arnel Pineda, the lead singer of a Journey cover band in the Philippines, on YouTube and were so impressed they asked him to audition for the real deal! Pineda got the gig and the band embarked on a massive worldwide tour.
With Pineda at the helm, the band released the CD and DVD set “Revelation” in 2008 which went all the way to #5 on the Billboard charts and Pineda went from being a struggling musician living on the streets to a global superstar overnight!
Journey and Pineda released the follow-up record “Eclipse” in 2011 and today the band is on tour once again, performing this month in New Zealand and Australia.
The film premiered at the 2012 Tribecca Film Festival, earning rave reviews from critics, and a theatrical release is soon to come.
