After a handful of film festival appearances during 2012, "In Your Dreams," the documentary about the making of Stevie Nicks' album of the same name, will be shown at this year's South By Southwest Film Festival, which takes place during mid-March in Austin, Texas.
Nicks is expected to attend the festival with album producer and film director Dave Stewart, and she tells us she's enjoyed becoming part of that circuit:
"This movie that we made really is our baby. It's an amazing little film. I've never been to a film festival in my life, so that was really an interesting experience for me to go to a real theater and do a question-and-answer and then see the film and then do another question-and-answer. It was great. And Dave, of course, I just love doing anything that allows me to hang out with Dave Stewart 'cause he just makes me laugh from the bottom of my feet up."
Nicks is also expected to perform with the all-star Sound City Players during SXSW; the performances hasn't been announced yet, but the film's director, Dave Grohl, is the keynote speaker at the concurrent South By Southwest Music + Media Conference, and the "Sound City" film will be shown at both events.
Meanwhile, Nicks is gearing up for the April 4 kick-off of Fleetwood Mac's 2013 tour, which will be accompanied by a pair of new songs the group is planning to release before it hits the road.
