Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Graham Nash has a birthday today, so let’s “teach the children well” and take a look back on his many accomplishments!
From rocking with The Hollies during the British Invasion, to harmonizing beautifully with folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, to establishing himself as a successful solo artist, Graham has had a pretty amazing life and career!
Nash made his mark on rock history by coming together with David Crosby and Stephen Stills in 1968 to form Crosby, Stills & Nash, writing and performing timeless hits like “Marrakesh Express,” “Teach The Children,” and “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.”
These days, Graham is still keeping plenty busy! He’s working on new solo music and assembling a box set for bandmate Stephen Stills, he has a gallery show in New York showcasing his photography, and has penned an autobiography that will come out later this year.
As for the original trio of CSN, they’re back at it again! The group released the 2-CD and DVD package “CSN 2012” last year, featuring their first live performance film in more than 20 years, and will hit the road again this year for a worldwide tour.
“My life has been so crazy,” Nash recently told American Songwriter magazine, “And I’ve had an incredible seat at the table.”
