If you’re one of those St. Patrick’s Day fanatics who parties like you’re 100% Irish, New York City may be your location for 2013. There’s a recently added event that some music fans will think is straight out of their ‘Dreams.’
The Allman Brothers Band has added an 11th concert to their annual set of shows at NYC’s Beacon Theatre in March. Whether or not you’re Irish, fans should color themselves lucky for the added chance to see the band live on St. Patty’s.
In related Allman Brothers news, a 129-song box set, “Skydog: The Duane Allman Perspective,” is also slated for a March release. From ‘Melissa’ to ‘Midnight Rider,’ all your favorite tunes will be included in this seven disc anthology, which will also feature early, never-before-heard recordings and session work.
Additionally, the band is set to play one of the nights of Eric Clapton’s annual “Crossroads” benefit show on April 12th or 13th at Madison Square Garden, as well as headlining the Wanee Festival in Live Oak, FL on April 19th and 20th, which they organize themselves.
