Details About the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Released

The first participants for this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony have been revealed, including the Eagles' Don Henley, who will induct singer-songwriter Randy Newman.

Rush will be inducted by Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, while John Mayer will usher the late Albert King into the Hall, then join Gary Clark, Jr., for a performance in King's honor.

Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson, meanwhile, have been tapped to perform songs by late inductee Donna Summer. More presenters and performers will be announced soon; other inductees include Heart, Public Enemy and executives Lou Adler and Quincy Jones.

The ceremony will be filmed by HBO and broadcast at 9 p.m. EST on May 18.

Tickets go on sale Thursday (January 24) for American Express cardholders, Monday (January 28) for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum members and Rush and Heart fan club members, and February 1 for the general public.
