The world’s greatest Rock & Roll band is weighing offers for a 2013 tour.
The Rolling Stones recently wrapped up their 50th anniversary shows in London, Brooklyn and New Jersey. Now, the UK rockers have their sights set on taking things up a notch.
The band’s iPhone app recently listed an appearance at Coachella this April as one of their upcoming shows. That info quickly disappeared and lead singer Mick Jagger told Rolling Stone that he doesn’t know how it got there, adding that he hasn’t been approached about playing at the festival.
Event organizers have posted a picture on Facebook of a large round stone sitting in the field where Coachella will take place, leading to growing speculation about an appearance from The Stones.
One thing Jagger has confirmed, though, is the potential for a 2013 world tour. The singer told Rolling Stone, “There have been quite a few offers. I’m going to see what’s on the table and discuss it with everyone. We’ll announce it when we’ve figured it out.”
In the meantime, keep up with all of the Rolling Stones’ latest updates at their official website.
