A partial list of the 2013 Grammy Award nominations was released yesterday (December 5th) during a televised event in Nashville, TN, and several classic rock favorites received recognition.

Most notably perhaps was Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band for their latest studio album Wrecking Ball, which was nominated for Best Rock Album. The album’s single, “We Take Care of Our Own”, also scored for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

The Rolling Stones received a nod for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package for their re-release of Some Girls. Paul McCartney landed in that same category for his deluxe edition of Ram, which also nominated for Best Historical Album.

Additionally, the former Beatle grabbed a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for his 2012 album Kisses on the Bottom.
