If you’re turning a 50th anniversary concert blowout into a televised event, you want the best.
That seems to be exactly how the Rolling Stones feel, as the group announced today (December 3rd) that veteran television producer, Ken Ehrlich, will be producing their upcoming “One More Shot” PPV special.
According to the press release, show promoter Paul Dainty stated, “We are thrilled to have Ken, his director Gregg Gelfand, and line producer Ron Basile working with the Rolling Stones on this celebratory 50th anniversary telecast. Their longtime expertise in the translation of music to television, combined with Ken’s total understanding of what the Rolling Stones are all about, makes this a perfect team to work with the world’s greatest rock and roll band.”
Ehrlich, who has produced the Grammy awards for over 30 years, said of the opportunity, "I've been fortunate to have been involved with several iconic musical events over my career, but the opportunity to play a part in this once in a lifetime celebration by one of music's most memorable bands ranks right up there with the best of them.”
“One More Shot” will air live on December 15th at 9pm EST/6pm PST courtesy of Dainty Group and Endemol, and is being distributed by World Wrestling Entertainment.
The concert will be the Stones’ last of their five 50th anniversary shows, though more dates are expected for next year.
