AC/DC's Digital Catalog Sees Big Sales on iTunes

It seems that digital downloads weren’t the Highway to Hell for AC/DC and we’re sure that band is happy it made the recent decision to offer their catalog via iTunes.

Billboard.com reports that in the first week alone, AC/DC sold 48,000 album downloads on iTunes. Which album racked up the most downloads during that first week? If your guess was “Back in Black”, then you’re spot on!

Even more amazing is that Billboard reported that over 696,000 AC/DC songs were downloaded during that time.

These numbers tell us that fans are thrilled that each of AC/DC’s 16 studio albums, their four live albums and three compilation albums are available on iTunes.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for the AC/DC fan on your shopping list, you might want to take a look at the two specially packaged digital compilations that iTunes is offering: The Complete Collection, the which features the entire iTunes-exclusive AC/DC catalog; and The Collection, which includes all 16 studio albums from the Australian rockers.

So tell us, have you already downloaded an AC/DC song from iTunes and if so, which one(s)?
