Some have dubbed it, “the last great album the Who ever made”, while the group and those involved in its production refer to it as, the “album that almost never was”.

Quadrophenia remains one of, if not the most talked about album from the Who’s impressive catalog, and those who think they know the whole story behind it may want to reconsider.

According to the group’s official website, the record took form in the midst of “money problems, a studio in construction, heroin-taking managers, a lunatic drummer and a culture of heavy drinking”, all of which is covered in the documentary, Quadrophenia: “Can You See The Real Me?

The film will take viewers through the whole story, with never-before-seen footage and interviews with Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Keith Moon, along with others who were instrumental in creating the now iconic album.

The documentary is now available digitally through the iTunes store, so don’t miss your chance to hear the story behind Jimmy, the pill-popping mod on his journey of self-discovery.
