Black Sabbath is still working on a new album, but it will still have something for fans before the year's out. On December 12 the group will release the limited edition "Black Sabbath The Vinyl Collection: 1970-1978," a box set compiling all nine of the original lineups studio albums, plus a seven-inch vinyl single of "Evil Woman" b/w "Wicked World." The set comes with a variety of other goodies, including posters, album inserts and a hardback book compiling all of the group's tour programs from the 1970s, as well as a voucher that will allow purchasers to download the music. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler have said they're about six songs into the new album, which they hope to release in April; a new posting on the band's Facebook page shows an empty stool next to a bass guitar, announcing that, "Geezer Butler is all set to record some more bass tracks on the new album today." The group, which played a few shows this year, has announced four shows in Australia during late April and early May, as well as a May 12 OZZFest Japan show. More 2013 dates are expected to be announced as well.
