Jon Bon Jovi's oldest child will not face drug charges after a reported heroin overdose in New York. Stephanie Bongiovi, 19, was arrested on Wednesday (November 14) along with another student, Ian Grant, after police were called to the Hamilton College campus following the overdose. Police found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the dorm room. But the Oneida County District Attorney's office said Thursday (November 15) that "the charges were dropped because of a New York law that specifically prohibits prosecution of people experiencing a drug overdose -- as well as the people who help the person experiencing the overdose in seeking medical care." The charges would have been misdemeanors. Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, have three other children; his band will be touring and releasing a new album in 2013.
