Van Halen has announced new dates for the Japanese concerts it canceled earlier this year. The shows were to take place later this month but were postponed when guitarist Eddie Van Halen's diverticulitis condition required surgery. Van Halen will now play on June 21 in Tokyo and June 24 and 26 in Osaka, with tickets from the original shows being honored. The group, which also canceled a batch of North American shows scheduled for last summer, has not announced any other tour plans for 2013 but has indicated that it does plan to play more shows. Another new Van Halen album has also been rumored, while bassist Wolfgang Van Halen has been playing in Creed/Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti's solo band.
