A rare watch owned by Eric Clapton fetched more than $3.6 million at auction in Geneva from a private collector in Asia, according to Christie's. The timepiece was platinum-cased made by famed Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe and was purchased by Clapton in 2002. The watch was featured in Christie's semi-annual Geneva sale, which featured other creations by Philippe. Last year Clapton raised more than $2.15 million for his Crossroads rehabilitation center in Antigua by auctioning off more than 70 of his guitars.
