ROLLING STONES ADD ANOTHER CONCERT

11/13/2012

Make it five 50th anniversary concerts for the Rolling Stones this year -- and maybe counting. The group has announced a December 8 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, preceding its December 13 and 15 performances at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Braclays was rumored to be the initial Stones U.S. venue before the Newark dates were announced. Tickets go on sale November 19, with information at www.rollingstones.com. The Stones start things off November 25-29 at the O2 Arena in London, while the December 15 Newark show will be telecast live via pay-per-view by WWE. Looking forward, guitarist Keith Richards sounded an optimistic note to Billboard, saying, "This juggernaut, once it gets rolling, is almost unstoppable. 'Oh, an extra gig,' or, 'Let's play somewhere you've never played before.' So things go on. Right now, I'm just happy to have the thing rolling and moving. It'll be great, playing London and New York. The rest of it, it'll happen. Don't worry about it." The Stones release a new compilation, "GRRR!," on Tuesday (November 13), with two new songs, "Gloom and Doom" and "One More Shot."
