Ace Frehley, Kiss' estranged original guitarist, put aside any differences to express his condolensces to former bandmate Paul Stanley after the September 29 death of his mother, Eva Eisan. Frehley posted a message on his web site reading: "I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Stanley's mother Eva. She always had a smile on her face at the Kiss shows she attended in New York and was always very gracious to me and my family when we'd meet backstage before and after concerts. My deepest sympathy goes out to Paul and his family. God bless." Frehley was with Kiss from 1973-92 and 1995-2002; he published an autobiography, "No Regrets," in 2011 and says he's currently working on a follow-up. Kiss, meanwhile, releases a new album, "Monster," on October 9.
