Queen's "We Will Rock You" was played approximately 505,998 times during the past two weeks in relation to the events of the London Olympics. And at last night's closing ceremony, after a 1986 video of the late Freddie Mercury leading the crowd at London's Wembley Stadium in a series of chants, Brian May and Roger Taylorperformed the song with Jessie J on vocals.
And now another Queen song has been given new life as “Don’t Stop Me Now” is being used in a video put together by Adidas in celebration of the success of the Great Britain Olympic team. The clip features David Beckham along with Olympic medalists Sir Chris Hoy, Jessica Ennis, Victoria Pendleton, Louis Smith, Pete Reed and other athletes from the Great Britain team in their own version of the song.
