THE WHO - NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR PRIME TIME?

The Who closed out the London Olympics Closing Ceremony last night with a medley of "Baba O’Riley," "See Me/Feel Me," "Listening To You" and "My Generation." NBC did not show The Who's performance during the primetime broadcast, but instead showed it during the late-night highlight show. There was also another Who song played as the Kaiser Chiefs did "Pinball Wizard."

Among the other performers were:

Queen (Brian May & Roger Taylor) - "We Will Rock You" with Jessie J on vocals

Ray Davies - "Waterloo Sunset" 

Monty Python's Eric Idle - "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"

Russell Brand - "I Am the Walrus"

George Michael - "Freedom"

Ed Sheeran - Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" with Floyd drummer Nick Mason andGenesis guitarist Mike Rutherford and a re-enactment of the Wish You Were Here album cover with a tight rope working setting fire to a mannequin.

Annie Lennox - "Little Bird"

Beady Eye - "Wonderwall"

Madness - "Our House"

Also on hand were The Spice GirlsOne DirectionPet Shop Boys and Elbow. And, there was a montage of David Bowie songs ending with "Fashion" as Britain's top models, including Mick Jagger's daughter Georgia May JaggerKate Moss and Naomi Campbell, strutted their stuff, The Beatles' "Because," John Lennon's "Imagine" andELO's "Mr. Blue Sky."
