Queen is apparently a hit at the Olympics -- well, a few of their songs are. "We Will Rock You," synonymous with sporting events, has become the unofficial fan favorite at the London Games, as it has been played at numerous competitions and ceremonies. Also, the band's "Another One Bites the Dust" has been played frequently during the beach volleyball matches.
Paul McCartney is not the only high profile musician to attend the games. Mick Jagger was spotted at a track-and-field event earlier this week.
And last night in London, former Yes singer Jon Anderson did his first show there in quite sometime at the Sadler's Wells Theater in London. He says, "We will be performing some classic songs I wrote with Yes and Vangelis, plus some new songs in a concert for Earth and Peace at the 2012 Olympic Games." No word if Anderson plans to take in any of the events.
